RICHARD SEAH is a person of many interests, many talents. A journalist and writer by profession, he is also a web designer, layout artist and a teacher of natural health and macrobiotics. He has ever been an amateur musician, audiophile hifi dealer, natural foods cook and owner of an organic foods store.
Richard is self-taught in photography, which he pursued since the mid-1970s, but quit for about 10 years from the mid-1990s to 2003. In 2005, he launched his photography website, www.art-photograph-gallery.com. He began to take the Richard is a member of the JPG community of photographers, where he is among the less than 0.1 percent of published JPGers, with two images and an article on Night Photography published in Issue #19 of JPG Magazine. He is also a member of the Red Bubble community of artists. In Singapore, his works have been published in To Singapore with Love, Harmony of Minds and a commemorative book for delegates of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank, who met in Singapore in 2006. Also in 2006, he won second prize in Something Old, Something New, a photography contest organised to mark the re-opening of the Singapore National Museum. Two of his photographs of hands. Bali Blessings and Incense, have been acquired for the permanent art collection of Ngee Ann Cultural Centre. This is his first book. More will follow. |
