PHOTOGRAPHS OF HANDS has so far been very well-received by author and photographic artist Richard Seah's circle of friends and contacts.

As the book gains wider circulation, more reviews and readers' comments will be added.

For now, here are some initial impressions from those who have viewed the e-book, or a preview of it in the photo essay, Photographs of Hands @ JPG Magazine

Very impressive. A work of art. Took my breath away!

Congratulations on a good work of art in reflecting your inner thoughts and feelings on the subject of hands, a favourite of yours. Communicative and poignant, the images invoke a sense of resonant appreciation and association.

Two hands, ten fingers, everyone has got them. So what could possibly be so interesting about them that almost a hundred photographs of them needed to be compiled together to make a book?

A talented artist has a way of looking at things that others seem to overlook. While you may see a girl reading a book, an artist will see the posture of her hands, the placement of her fingers, her delicate touch when she turns the page... He will capture the light and show you an angle that had never occurred to you.

Hands are wonderfully expressive, they have so much character, each so unique. And Richard Seah has managed to capture their beauty, pain, hope, grace and exuberance.
